CYCLE ENFIELD STORY
I cycle in from Chingford to get to work, it takes between 30 and 40 minutes.
I started cycling during a two week cycle to work scheme. They gave me the bike and the equipment I needed including; a helmet, bag, high vis, etc).
I was able to use it for two weeks and when the scheme was over I was given the option to buy the bike at a discounted price.
“ I cycle to work because it’s a form of exercise and it’s quicker than driving during the school rush! ”
As well as there being less pollution, which leads to less respiratory diseases and a healthier population I think the cycle routes are good for safety. But I think a more important issue is the training that’s available as it gives people the confidence to use the routes and the ability to cycle safely with other road users.
