Join the International Women’s Day ride

Happy International Women’s Day for Sunday 8th March! We recognise and celebrate all women and people who identify as women.

It is well documented that fewer women cycle than men, however many would like to. Research conducted by Sustrans in 2017 found that across the seven cities studied across the UK, men were twice as likely to use a bicycle for travel on a regular basis than women. They identified barriers to women cycling including their own safety and that of their children, amount of and proximity to traffic, and the condition of cycle paths.

Join our International Women’s Day Ride

We want to encourage, support and build the confidence of women cycling. Join us on Saturday 21st March 2020 for a ride to celebrate International Women’s Day! Wear something purple (the colour of International Women’s Day) and come and enjoy the ride with our qualified instructors.

This ride is for women and non-binary people who would like to celebrate International Women’s Day with us.

The emphasis of the ride is to familiarise yourself with the cycling infrastructure on the Green Lanes cycle route. See here to book (it’s free to join).

Start and end point: Outside Coffee Break, 792 Green Lanes, London, N21 2SH
